Former Finance Minister and senior leader of the Muslim League-Nawaz, IshaqDar, has said that the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, MianMuhammad Nawaz Sharif, has left the matter of holding General Bajwa andGeneral Faiz accountable in 2017 to Allah Almighty. Nawaz Sharif will focuson fixing the country instead of seeking revenge.
In a media interview in London, the former Finance Minister stated that thePML-N had held many meetings regarding counterterrorism efforts. From 2013to 2016, significant progress was made in countering terrorism. NawazSharif had decided that no matter the cost, they would eliminate terrorism.
He mentioned that during their tenure, they successfully carried outcounter-corruption and Zarb-e-Azb operations. They collaborated withmilitary leadership and managed to secure both operations, despite limitedresources, and effectively eliminated the curse of terrorism.
Ishaq Dar also emphasized that during Nawaz Sharif’s four-year tenure, hehad put the economy back on track and would continue to do so, by the graceof Allah. Those who ousted Nawaz Sharif subjected the country to injustice,and they have been exposed in a short period.
He noted that Pakistan’s progress was pushed back for many years, and thepublic suffered as a result. A leader sets the direction. It was in 2017that the leader stated that he had entrusted his case to Allah.
