The Federal Investigation Agency has launched massive crackdown againstindividuals involved in hawala transactions across the country.
According to reports, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrestedover a hundred individuals during a crackdown against hawala in KhyberPakhtunkhwa over the course of the last six weeks.
FIA authorities stated that the suspects were involved in hawala andillegal currency exchange, and substantial amounts of local and foreigncurrency were seized from those involved in hawala transactions, exceeding170 million rupees during the raids.

FIA conducted operations in various regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,including Peshawar, Abbottabad, Nowshera, Kohat, and along the Torkhamborder. 85 cases have been registered in Peshawar, and furtherinvestigations are ongoing.
