Quetta: Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmad says no one interfered inmatters of judiciary, adding that the institutions works independently.
Addressing a ceremony in Quetta on Wednesday, the top judge also termed amatter related to missing persons serious.
Vowing to protect basic rights of public, he said that a commission hasalso been setup to review the matter. He added that missing of anyone wouldnot be allowed.
He told that a case regard the missing persons is fixed for hearing beforethe top court.
The chief justice said that the court today heard a case related toshortage of water where the bench was told that five dams are beingconstructed to mitigate it.
“It is our responsibility to protect the rights of the people ofBalochistan,” he said.
The chief justice also vowed to address the issues being faced by lawyers,adding: “I consider the insult of lawyers as my insult”.
He said that efforts will be made to meet all demands of the bar of theprovince.
