JAMMU – Indian Border Security Force (BSF) Head Constable has allegedlycommitted suicide.
As per the media report he committed suicide by shooting himself from hisservice rifle inside a camp in Rajouri district of the India-held Jammu andKashmir, reports in local media said on Sunday.
The soldier identified as Head Constable Ram Charan, posted with the 126thbattalion of Border Security Force (BSF), was on duty when he fatally shothimself in the neck at Sunderbani BSF Headquarters in the district, lastnight.
On hearing the gunshot, his colleagues rushed him to a local hospital wherehe was declared brought dead. The motive behind his taking such an extremestep was not known immediately.

Police have registered a case in this connection and handed over the bodyof the deceased to his unit after legal and medical formalities thismorning.
