Chinese President extends aid package for Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – China has announced to extend 100 million Yuan in aid toPakistan for flood victims as thousands of people were displaced afterrecord downpour triggered worst deluge in the South Asian country.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang made the pledge in amessage delivered by Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong to PresidentArif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

The Chinese leadership have expressed grief and solidarity with thePakistani leadership and people over human and financial losses caused byfloods in the country.

Expressing his good wishes for the Chinese President and the Premier, PrimeMinister Shehbaz Sharif said the Chinese leadership and people as alwayshas demonstrated its friendship and open heartedness for Pakistan.

The neighbouring has donated twenty five thousand tents and other reliefgoods.

The first consignment of three hundred tents will reach Karachi today andtomorrow. The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan will deliver the reliefgoods to Pakistan authorities in Karachi.

PM Shehbaz Sharif has thanked the Chinese leadership for the financialassistance to flood-affected people of Pakistan.
