Punjab Police misbehaved with the first lady daughter, reveals inquiry report

LAHORE – It has been revealed in the departmental inquiry that Pakpattanpolice misbehaved with the daughter of the first lady of Pakistan.

Bushra Imran and Khawer Maneka ‘s son, Ibrahim Maneka, has provided detailsto the police inquiry committee, stating his father had reacted aspersonnel at the checkpoint misbehaved with him and his daughter.

According to the sources, in his email sent to the inquiry committee,Ibrahim Maneka was referring to the allegations levelled against his fatherthat he got Pakpattan DPO Rizwan Gondal transferred when the police team hewas leading stopped Khawar for over-speeding.

On August 23, it was reported that police personnel tried to interceptKhawar at a checkpoint when he was coming from Pakpattan. However, when hedid not stop they chased him down.

It was said that Khawar misbehaved with the personnel and hurled expletivesat them when they stopped him.

Following the incident, the Punjab government asked Gondal to seek anapology from Khawar, but the former refused saying the police was not atfault.

Gondal also informed Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar about his decisionof not seeking an apology from Khawar, police sources said.
