PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has chalked out amulti-dimensional plan to construct small and medium dams with an estimatedcost of 9.5 billion rupees in different districts of the province.
Sites for the dams have been identified by Irrigation Department and workon it would commence soon.
Besides construction of the dams, the plan also includes schemes of watersupply and flood protection walls.
The PTI-led Government has already constructed eight small and medium damsin the province during its last tenure which are irrigating thousands ofacres of land.
