Dubai: A brilliant century by debutant Abid Ali gone in vain as Australiacrushed Pakistan by 6 runs in the fourth One Day International (ODI) hereat Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Abid Ali made 112 runs before his departure. Abid Ali became thirdPakistani to make century on debut.

With this victory, Australia have extended their winning streak to sevenmatches whereas it was Pakistan’s fourth consecutive loss in the series.

Wicket-keeper batsman Rizwan Ali also made 104 runs on 102 balls. It’s thefourth time in history that a side has lost an ODI chase with twocenturions.

Earlier, a 82-ball-98 by Maxwell has powered Australia to 277 runs againstPakistan in the fourth One-Day International (ODI) here at DubaiInternational Cricket Stadium.

Being sent into bat, Australi were 140-5 at one stage. However, Maxwell andAT Carey added 134 runs for the sixth wicket stand and lifted Australia toa respectable total of 277 runs.

Pakistan had rested Shoaib Malik and Imamul Haq whereas Saad Ali and AbidAli made debut for the hosts.
