Islamabad police summoned Awami Muslim League (AML) head Sheikh RashidAhmed at 5pm today.
The police summoned the former interior minister over a petition which wassubmitted for the registration of a case against him by a citizen.
Raja Inayat, in its petition, which was filed at Aabpara police station,stated that Sheikh Rashid in an interview had blamed former president AsifAli Zardari for plotting to kill former premier Imran Khan.
“Sheikh Rashid has accused Asif Ali Zardari of conspiring to kill ImranKhan under a conspiracy,” he maintained.

“Sheikh Rashid has put the lives of former president and his family under aconstant threat,” he added.
“Legal action should be taken against Sheikh Rashid and others forlevelling allegations under a conspiracy,” he pleaded.
