ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Railways is making all-out efforts to reinforce itsfleet of locomotives to transform the organization into avibrant and profit-earning entity.According to a Radio Pakistan report, an official of the Railways Ministrytold that railways was pursing a prudent policy to attract more passengersand get increased freight business by extending a number of facilities tothe public.Railways had upgraded around 52 kilometers tracks during the last sixmonths through indigenous resources to ensure safe and smooth journey topassengers, the official added.He said the Railways is also planning to upgrade and replace Main Line(ML-1) from Karachi – Peshawar double track of 1681 KMs underChina-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
