PESHAWAR: Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Mahmood KhanWednesday said that flagship project Swat Motorway would be open for allsort of vehicular traffic on May 1, 2019.
The decision was taken to this effect during a meeting of CM with theFederal Minister for Communication here.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman Highways Authority, DirectorGeneral Frontier Works Organization, MD Pakhtunkhwa Highways Authority,Secretary Communication and Works, Secretary Irrigation, Project DirectorSwat Motorway and others.
The meeting reviewed the pace of progress on the Swat Motorway andexchanged views about the project.

The meeting expected that the Swat Motorway would be ready for inaugurationtherefore it decided 1st May 2019 to hold the inaugural ceremony for formalvehicular traffic.
The meeting thoroughly debated the extension of Swat Motorway and agreed toextend for the integration of whole Malakand division with the ProvinceKhyber Pakhtunkhwa.
