ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Faisal has said thatAfghan problem can only be addressed through dialogue. Pakistan supportsall peace processes that are owned and led by Afghans, Radio Pakistan hasreported.
There are several processes and Quadrilateral Consultative Group involvingPakistan, Afghanistan, China and the United States would be the mostappropriate forum to take the peace process forward.
Military solution has totally failed in Afghanistan. All sorts of weaponsand ammunition were tried in Afghanistan during the last seventeen years.
All issues of the region should be sorted out through dialogue.International community should also address Pakistan’s concern about Afghanissue.
Defence Analyst say that Since September over five thousand soldiers losttheir lives and 1,500 were injured due to Trump policies in Afghanistan.The US is responsible for the whole situation in Afghanistan. The US triesto resolve all the issues in Afghanistan through wars and continuouslytrying to implement its policies through guns.
The people of Afghanistan give least importance to their lives on thematters of national interest and they cannot accept the dictation of theUS. Now President Trump becomes confuse as he announced the victory of NATOin Afghanistan. Trump is under severe pressure as all his policies havebeen failed in Afghanistan.
The US should give proper time frame for peace in Afghanistan. Actualtarget of the US is Pakistan, China, Russia and CPEC. Pakistan and Chinashould find negotiated settlement for Afghan issue to ensure peace in theregion.
On one side, the NATO has increased use of power and in retaliation Talibanalso poses threats to the security situation in Afghanistan.
Since 2001, a large number of US forces are present in Afghanistan and itis not clear that the use of force is not solution to the Afghan problem.All the stakeholders should initiate talks to resolve the issues.
Afghanistan should design policies along with the neighboring countries toensure peace in the region. The use of force will result in the loss of manand material in Afghanistan. The only solution to Afghanistan problem istalks and dialogue.
Such solution could benefit people and the government of Afghanistan.
