LAHORE: Pakistani cricket team Head Coach Waqar Younis apologized to the nation over the poor performance of team in T20 world cup.
While talking to media here at today (Tuesday) in PCB Headquarters, Waqar said that he is extremely disappointed over the humiliating defeat of Pakistani team in the mega event.
Waqar made it clear that he always worked with honesty and tried to deliver his experience to Pakistani team but if fact finding committee consider him responsible in the defeat of team then he is ready to leave coaching for the improvement in team.
While rejecting the grouping reports in team he categorically said that there is no grouping in team while Pakistani cricket is facing several problems we need to resolve these issues if want to change cricket in true meanings.
While pointing out the issue of international cricket in Pakistan he added that absence of international cricket in Pakistan is also clearly affecting on the performance of team.
Head coach further stated that removal of Afridi, Haroon ur Rashid and Waqar Younis is not the solution of the problem as well as it will not change things drastically so we will have to focus on major issues of cricket like the improvement in domestic cricket structure.
