One more Kashmiri youth martyred in Budgam

In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred one more Kashmiri youth in Budgam district, on Friday.

The troops martyred the youth during a violent cordon and search operation at Gund Chekpora in Nowgam area of the district. The troops also destroyed a residential house in the area. The operation continued till last report came in.

The occupation authorities have snapped mobile internet services in the entire Budgam district.

The killing of youth triggered forceful demonstrations in the area. Indian police and troops fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters, injuring several demonstrators.

Meanwhile, people staged demonstrations in Srinagar, Tral, Pulwama, Islamabad, Kulgam, Baramulla and other areas, today, to register protest against the ill-treatment meted out to illegally detained Kashmiris and the killing of youth by Indian troops.

Call for the demonstrations was given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani.

Chairman of Hurriyat forum, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, addressing a gathering at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, today, sought intervention of international human rights bodies to end plight of Kashmiri political prisoners.

Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, in a statement in Srinagar demanded unconditional release of all Kashmiri detainees.

A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement met Chairperson of Muslim Khawateen Markaz, Yasmeen Raja, at her residence in Pampore area of Pulwama and expressed solidarity with her.

APHC-AJK leaders on the call of Hurriyat Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, gathered in Islamabad and held a meeting, today.
