KARACHI: (APP) Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim ali Shah has said that ample incentives would be given to investigators working on high profile cases and the same incentives would also be given to the prosecutor if he wins the case.

The IG Sindh Police briefing the Apex Committee on the kidnapping of Awais Shah said that the police and other agencies were working day and night on the case. "The police have conducted 145 raids. Just after 48 hours of his kidnapping an activity was noticed on the phone of Awais Shah at Landi Kotal."

He said that the car in which he was kidnapped was an imported one. "We have examined and found that only 3000 cars of that model and brand have been imported in Pakistan, of them 700 are in Karachi," he said and added that the number plate of the car was of SP number and was computerized made.

"The police have interrogated all the people involved in manufacturing computerised number plates to trace any clue," he said.

A.D. Khawaja said that there were 2292 CCTV cameras installed on 538 different locations in the city. The quality of the cameras is very poor and most of the cameras are out of order. He added that the city needs 12 Mega Pixel CCTV cameras.

The IGP said that the process of 200 Inspectors (Investigators) and 170 another inspectors of Prosecution side has been started through Sindh Public Service Commission.

The Chief Minister said that he would give special incentives to investigators and prosecutors if they work out and prosecute high profile cases successfully.

Briefing on the target killing of famed Qawwal Amjad Sabri, the IGP said that he was killed by a pistol of 30 bore which the target killers do not use normally. This type of pistol was used by a banned outfit's killers. He added that the case of Amjad Sabri was being investigated on three dimensions: the property dispute, sectarian or politically motivated killing.

Corps Commander Karachi Lt-Gen Naveed Mukhtar said that a separate brigade has been raised to provide security to CPEC projects.

The meeting approved the security plan for CPEC projects. The Chief Minister said that 2000 ex-army men for CPEC projects would not be enough.

He directed the IGP to submit additional requirement. He said that CPEC was the most important project.
