PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister Shahram Khan Taraqai Tuesday said 20 buses would start plying on Bus Rapid Transit project in second week of February in the first phase.
Talking to media here he said the project would be completed by March 23, however in the first phase of project would be opened from GT road to Qilla Balahisar underpass, adding that by the end of February 27 stations of BRT would be completed.
The Minister said that total cost the project was Rs 66 billion where water, electricity lines and sewerage system along the road of the project were also upgraded.
He informed that currently 800 to 1200 were performing BRT duty while 12000 traffic officials were managing smooth traffic flow in the city. He said as per official estimate there are load of 0.7 million vehicles within the city.
