KABUL: Afghan President Ashraf Ghani claimed that his government will not negotiate with Taliban and insurgent groups who are killing innocent Afghan civilians.
He claimed that security forces will boost their fight against terrorists.
Ghani’s statement came after the incident of two suicide bombings that killed at least 28 people and several wounded.
A suicide bomber killed 13 people and at least 39 got injured in Asadabad in Kunar province.
A tribal leader Haji Khan Jan was targeted in the attack who was involved in several operations against Taliban.
No one claimed the responsibility of attack.
Second incident happened near the Afghan Defence Ministry in Kabul in which 15 people killed and eight wounded.
Taliban claimed the responsibility for the attack.
Ambulances transferred the victims to hospital and security forces cordon the spot.
The four countries group is negotiating with Taliban for peace in the region.
The second round of direct peace talks between Afghan government and Taliban is expected to be held in the first week of March 2016.
Taliban has boosted their campaign against Afghan forces after the withdrawl of NATO forces in 2014.
UN claimed that more than 11,000 civilians were killed in 2015.
