KABUL: In Afghanistan, eleven people were killed in the fighting between security forces and Taliban outfit in Qaisar district of Faryab province today.
An army spokesman in northern region said clash flared up after a group of Taliban insurgents attacked checkpoints of pro-government militias early morning, leaving two civilians and four pro-government militias dead.
Five Taliban fighters were also killed in the fighting.
Meanwhile, Afghan forces killed two Taliban and evicted the militants from major parts of Ab Kamari district in their fresh operations in Badghis province.
