Multan: Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that NAB AmendmentOrdinance was not aimed at providing National Reconciliation Ordinance(NRO) or relief to anybody.
While talking to media in Multan today, he said that the revision of theNAB ordinance was demanded by the opposition parties including PML-N andPPP. He added that the ordinance was not approved to protect corrupt people.
Criticizing the Narendra Modi led government in India, he said that thewhole international media community is bashing India for its discriminatorylaw.
“India appears to be divided into secular and extremist ideologies underthe existing Modi government. Ever since the controversial CitizenshipAmendment Law has been approved, all minorities and educated Hindus areprotesting against the discriminatory law,” he said.
He further stated that there are continuous protests occurring within thecountry and 25 people have so far been killed in the current tensions inIndia.
Speaking on the issue of Kashmir, he said that there is complete curfew andcommunication blackout in the valley since past five months.
“They can lock Kashmir but they cannot put the entire India under curfew.The world has now seen the real face of India,” he said.
Shah Mahmood said India has been carrying out ceasefire violations alongLine of Control (LoC).
