ABBOTTABAD (APP)- On behalf of Khber Phaktukhawa (KPK) government, Commissioner Hazara Division Muhammad Akbar Khan on Wednesday signed an agreement for land acquisition with a private company for the construction of 870 megawatt Saki Kinari hydro power project here.

On the occasion commissioner Hazara Muhammad Akbar Khan said that this was first of its kind power generation project in KPK which was also a part of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
This project would be completed during the period of six years,he said.
He further said that to give relief to the people those have provided land for the power project, provincial government would also start many projects and welfare schemes in their areas including water supply, roads, schools, health and other projects.
Commissioner Hazara disclosed that soon this project would be started, as it was a very important project and after completion it would play role in ending of load shedding from Pakistan.

The agreement was also signed by the Project Director Saki Kinari hydro power project Mian Shahabullah Kakakhel in the office of commissioner Hazara division.
