ISLAMABAD: Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-basedoperation in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, eliminating six terroristsbelonging to the outlawed Fitna-tul-Hindustan group. The operation wascarried out in a remote area following credible reports of militantpresence.
The militants were reportedly planning attacks on security installationsand civilian targets. All six terrorists were killed during an intenseexchange of fire after they opened fire on the advancing troops. Nocasualties were reported among the security personnel.
During the subsequent search, forces recovered a significant quantity ofweapons and ammunition. The cache included assault rifles, hand grenades,improvised explosive devices, and communication equipment. Explosivesprepared for suicide vests were also seized from the site.
Fitna-tul-Hindustan has emerged as a splinter faction with alleged externalbacking aimed at destabilising Pakistan. Security officials described thegroup as an extension of hostile agencies operating under a new name toevade counter-terrorism measures.
The operation reflects the continued vigilance of Pakistani forces againstemerging terrorist entities. Authorities have intensified intelligencesharing and coordinated actions across provinces to prevent the regroupingof banned organisations under different banners.
Local administration has welcomed the successful action, stating it willcontribute to lasting peace in the region. Further investigations areunderway to trace remaining network members and their support structure.
