ISLAMABAD: The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday made astartling claim that its troops destroyed 118 Pakistani border posts duringa recent cross-border operation codenamed “Sindoor 1.0”, escalatingtensions along the Line of Control.
Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, BSF Director General DaljitSingh Chaudhary said the operation was launched in retaliation to allegedPakistani shelling that damaged several forward posts on the Indian sideearlier this month.
According to the BSF chief, precision strikes using artillery and dronescompletely demolished 118 Pakistani observation and defensive posts acrossmultiple sectors in Jammu and Kashmir.
The operation, he claimed, was conducted with minimal civilian casualtiesand marked a “decisive response” to what India describes as continuedceasefire violations by Pakistan Rangers and army units.
