DG ISPR mocks Indian Army Chief  belligerent remarks with sharp cinematic analogy

ISLAMABAD: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR)Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry on Friday responded strongly torecent provocative statements by Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, who claimed that Operation Sindoor conducted in May 2025 was only a“trailer” and that the full feature film remained to be seen.

Addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi, the DG ISPR said the Indiangeneral appeared eager for a “horror film” given the scale of lossessuffered in what India had portrayed as a limited operation. Hesarcastically noted that if seven aircraft downed, an S-400 batterydestroyed, and strikes on 26 locations constituted merely a trailer, thenIslamabad was ready for the complete picture.

The military spokesperson reminded that Pakistan’s measured yet decisiveresponse had exposed critical gaps in Indian military preparedness anddeterred further adventurism. He emphasised that any future aggressionwould meet an even more robust retaliation.

General Chaudhry warned against underestimating Pakistan’s resolve andconventional capability, stating that the armed forces remained fullyprepared to defend every inch of the motherland. He urged Indian leadershipto pursue peace rather than reckless rhetoric.

The exchange has heightened tensions along the Line of Control, with bothsides maintaining high alert status since the brief but intense May clashes.
