ISLAMABAD – National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has said onSunday that Pakistan’s COVID-19 positivity ratio has reached 7.1 per cent.
A meeting of the NCOC was held under the chair of Planning and DevelopmentMinister Asad Umar to review the situation of coronavirus cases andimplementation on the SOPs across the country.
The forum was informed that the highest test positivity rate was recordedat 24.85 per cent in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), followed by Hyderabad at22.18%, and Karachi at 18.96 %.
The positive case rate in Azad Kashmir is 16.58%, Sindh 15.31%, Balochistan9.12%, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 5.31%, Punjab 3.45%, Gilgit-Baltistan 5.56% andIslamabad 5.30%.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, the number ofcritically ill Corona patients is growing rapidly across the country.Currently, the condition of 2,186 patients is critical. The condition of681 patients in Sindh, 620 in Punjab, 488 in KP and 315 in Islamabad iscritical. In addition, 50 patients in AJK, 16 in Balochistan and 16 in GBare in critical condition.
As many as 2,829 new coronavirus cases and forty-three deaths were reportedduring the last 24 hours on Sunday.
According to the latest statistics, the contagion claimed lives of 43 morepeople during the last 24 hours.
