PTI announces the top office bearers in a bid to restructure the party

PAKISTAN – The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has announced the top officebearers for the party in a bid to restructure the party.

PTI on Monday held a meeting of its parliamentarians and leaders under thechair of Prime Minister Imran Khan and announced its new office-bearers ina bid to restructure party.

After party chairperson and Prime Minister Imran Khan signed off on theappointments, PTI secretary general Arshad Daad said that senior partyleader Ejaz Chaudhry has been made the central additional secretary general.

Muhammad Ghulam Sarwar has been appointed the west Punjab president,whereas Umar Dar has been handed the reins in central Punjab.

The west and central regions were previously led by Chaudhry MohammadAshfaq and Abdul Aleem Khan, the minister for local government andcommunity development in Chief Minister Usman Buzdar’s cabinet.

Eng Atta Ullah Khan Shadi Khel, meanwhile, has been made the north Punjabpresident; he replaces Amir Kiyani.
