ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister Imran Khan’s $12 billion Saudi package to has badly frustrated the Opposition which was eyeing Pakistan Tehrik e Insaaf government’s failure due to financial crisis, inherited from the past regimes.
After National Accountability Bureau’s tightening of noose around corrupts and Imran Khan’s unabated stance “not to spare any wrongdoer” the Opposition even after just 65 days of formation of the new government starting hatching conspiracies against it. But their every designs seems to be day dream due to Khan’s vigorous efforts to take friendly countries on board and making them agree to assist Pakistan in this hour of financial turmoil.
Exchanging views with APP, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s President Ahmed Hassan Moughal said KSA bailout package was a big achievement of PTI government within a short span of time. But, he warned, it was a short term solution to financial crisis and more concrete measures were required to get out of this uncertainty.
He criticizing opposition’s negative role in this hour of trial and aid their undue hue and cry over was unjustified and PTI government should be given as Constitutional right to complete its tenure.
“It would be an injustice if opposition expects PTI to resolve all issues inherited by past regimes in the blink of an eye,” he added.
Ahmed Hassan reposed his full confidence in incumbent government’s prudent policies and expressed the hope that it would steer the country out of current crisis.
He lauded the far sighted approach of the Prime Minister for avoiding IMF and preferring friendly countries which was a wise decision as IMF’s harsh conditions may put extra burden on the poor of the country.
“Friendly countries like China, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, which are Khan’s next destinations, would extend their all out support to Pakistan like Kingdom of Saudi Arabia “ he hoped.
Ahmed stressed for local industry’s involvement in the Prime Minister’s Naya Paksitan Housing scheme as country’s more than 50 industries are associated with the construction material business He said, “We open-heartedly welcome foreign investors as we are in dire need of them but local labourers and material must be used in this mega project.
Talking to this scribe, a financial analyst predicted that Pakistan would come out of all financial woes and rise on the world’s horizon as a prosperous and developed country. But, he said, it imposes conditionality, “if the Prime Minister along with his team would continue unwavering efforts in the same spirit and pace and also ensure austerity measures are strictly followed.”
