ISLAMABAD – Supreme Court of Pakistan has announced the verdict in the suomoto case of transfer of IG Islamabad Police.

SC on Monday suspended notification of transfer of Islamabad InspectorGeneral of Police (IG) Jan Mohammad.

As per details acquired, a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice ofPakistan (CJP) Justice Saqib Nisar heard the suo motu notice here inIslamabad today.

The apex court also directed federal govt to submit detailed reply in thisregard till October 31.

As the hearing went underway, Attorney General (AG) told the apex court thaJan Mohammad was transferred on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s verbal orders.To this, CJP wondered that AG had transferred a high-ranked police officialmerely on verbal orders of PM Khan.
