Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said that the government wishes for therule of law to prevail regarding the return of the leader of the PML-N tothe country. While speaking in an interview with BBC Urdu, he emphasizedthat the government wants the law to take its course in Nawaz Sharif’sreturn case.
Therefore, they have sought legal advice from the Ministry of Law regardingthe possibility of his apprehension and potential imprisonment upon hisreturn.
Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar also mentioned that in the coming weeks, the countrywill witness political gatherings in anticipation of elections. If anypolitical leader is unable to participate in the elections, it may lead toan electoral crisis. He clarified that this is not a matter for thegovernment to intervene in, but rather a societal and state issue if anelectoral crisis arises as a result of the election outcomes.
Furthermore, he stated that in the current national circumstances, thechallenge faced by the PTI Chairman is not with the military but with thestate. If relief is not obtained from the courts, then Chairman PTI mayhave to confront these outcomes reluctantly.
