MIRPUR – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will pay a visit toearthquake-affected Mirpur tomorrow.
It was stated by chairman of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA),Lt Gen Muhammad Afzal, today as he review ongoing relief operations inMirpur.
NDMA chairman told attendants that as many as 5000 houses were badlydamaged in the earthquake. “The worst affected area was a village nearSahang”, revealed Lt Gen Muhammad Afzal.
On Sept 24, a shallow quake jolted parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK),Punjab, Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa killing 38 people while injuringover 700 others.
AJK was hit worst as almost all deaths occurred in the area.
