*RIYADH: *A fire erupted on Sunday at a new high-speed train station inSaudi Arabia’s western city of Jeddah, authorities said, with huge palls ofsmoke seen rising into the air.
The station is dedicated to the Haramain High Speed Rail system whichopened to the public in October last year, transporting passengers betweenMakkah and Medina.
“The civil defence is putting out a fire that broke out at a station inSuleimaniya… no injuries have been recorded as of yet,” the GeneralDirectorate of Saudi Civil Defence said on Twitter.
