Curfew and Restrictions enter 56th day in Occupied Kashmir, Over 11,000 Kashmiris still under arrest

SEINAGAR – Normal life continued to remain paralysed as the unprecedentedlockdown entered its 56th day in Occupied Kashmir today.

Indian troops in latest act of state terrorism martyred seven Kashmiriyouth in Ganderbal, Ramban and Shopian districts during cordon and searchoperations on September 28.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the occupation authorities preventpeople from staging demonstrations against the repeal of the special statusof occupied Kashmir by the Indian government.

Communication services like mobile, internet and TV channels are closed inthe entire Kashmir valley and in some parts of Jammu region.

Patients, doctors and other medical staff are facing difficulties inreaching hospitals due to curfew and other restrictions.

Foodstuff, medicines and other essential commodities have run out ofstocks, adding to the miseries of the people.

The occupation authorities continue to place almost all Hurriyat leadersincluding Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Ashraf Sehraiunder house arrest or in jails. Over 11,000 Kashmiris including resistanceleaders, political activists and youth have been arrested.
