ISLAMABAD – Federal government has decided to ink agreements with variouscountries over money laundering and brining back the illegal looted money.
In a first, Pakistan will sign an agreement with Switzerland aimed atcurbing the illicit and secret practice of money laundering.
Federal Minister for information and broadcasting Fawad Ch told media onSaturday that authorities would be given access to accounts of Pakistanispresent in the mountainous Central European country.
The agreement will be signed in Geneva, Fawad said adding that federal govtwould ink agreements with several other European and Middle East nationsfor the same purpose.
The minister renewed commitment to curb money laundering and vowedeffective legislation in this regard.
