LAHORE – US Consul General Colleen Elizabeth Crenwelge has called on PunjabChief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore today.

During the meeting, various matters of mutual interest including expansionof bilateral cooperation in different sectors and development of socialsector came under discussion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Pakistan-USrelations span over many decades and both the countries have remainedpartners in the war against terrorism.

He said that the menace of terrorism has become an international nuisanceand Pakistan has rendered invaluable sacrifices in the war againstterrorism.

On her part, US Consul General said that partnership with the punjabgovernment will be expounded for social sector development and hoped thatthis partnership would be further strengthened in days to come.

Director General Rangers Punjab Major General Azhar Naveed Hayat called onPunjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore today.

He congratulated the Chief Minister over his new assignment and extendedgood wishes to him.

The Chief Minister paid tributes to the glorious services of officers andjawans of rangers for maintaining peace and protection of national borders.

He said that services of rangers are praiseworthy for improving law andorder situation and national defense.
