Former CJP Justice Saqib Nisar face embarrassing situation in London

LONDON: Former CJP Justice Saqib Nisar face embarrassing situation inLondon.

Three events planned with former chief justice Saqib Nisar were cancelled.

The events failed to go ahead because of lack of interest from the localorganisers linked with the group set up to run the fundraising campaign,The News has reported.

Saqib Nisar has been in London for over two weeks now and dates of eventswere announced in consultations with him as well as Faisal Vawda, theFederal Minister for Water Resources, but the meek response from the localchapter as well as the community groups led to the events being cancelled.It’s understood that the former chief justice made travel plan to Londonwith his family on request of the organisers.

A source said, “Ex-CJP Saqib Nisar made London travel plans with his familyto attend the fundraising events and to watch the ICC World Cup cricketmatches but the organisers told him that the events have been cancelled dueto lack of interest from the members of public after he had reached London.”

‘I am Pakistan Worldwide Movement (IAPWM)’ announced that three “awarenessdinner galas” will be held in Birmingham, Manchester and London to raisefunds for Diamer Bhasha & Mohmand Dam with “Mian Saqib Nisar, former ChiefJustice of Pakistan, and Faisal Vawda, Federal Minister for WaterResources”.

It was announced that the fund raisers will be held on June 24 atPiccadilly Banquetting Suite, Birmingham; June 23, Royal Nawab RestaurantManchester; and Royal Nawab in London on June 21.
