LAHORE – PTI’s Jahangir Tareen group has reacted strongly to the casefiled against MPA Nazir Chohan by Interior Adviser Shahzad Akbar and saidthat this move is tantamount to creating a new crisis for PTI and thealready troubled government.
The spokesperson for the group termed the move by Shahzad Akbar asreprehensible and said that if there was a problem, it could have beenresolved through dialogue.
According to the spokesperson, this was an extreme step which causedirreversible damage to Tareen Group’s efforts to resolve disputes andissues through dialogue. The group has demanded that Shahzad Akbar shouldimmediately withdraw the case and resolve the issues through dialogue.
The case against Nazir Chohan has been filed at Lahore’s Race Course PoliceStation under Sections 506, 258, 189 and 153. The complainant, ShahzadAkbar, maintained that the accused, Chohan, leveled baseless allegationsagainst him in a TV program.
