Opening Ceremony of Pakistan-Egypt first Joint Air Defence Exercise “SkyGuard -1” 2021 held at Cairo, Egypt, said a statement issued by InterServices Public Relations Friday.
Lieutenant General Muhammad Chirag Haider, Director General Joint StaffHeadquarters witnessed the opening ceremony Egyptian Chief of Air Def,Major General Mohamed Hagezy Abdel Mawgood along with other militaryofficials from both countries were also present.
The two weeks long Joint exercise is aimed to bolster the militarycooperation between two countries in face of existing and emerging threatsin air defence domain.
The exercise will focus on greater integration, interoperationability,synergy, information gathering and decision making of air defence tentaclesto generate a comprehensive response against multiple hostile air threatsin the battle.
