Electricity consumers across the country should be prepared for theadditional load as NEPRA is requested by the K-electric and CPPA toincrease the cost.
National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NAPRA) will hear thepetitions of the Central Power Purchase Agency (CPPA) and Karachi-Electrictomorrow (Thursday).
The channel report said that it is requested to NEPRA to increase the costof electricity by Rs1.62 per unit for Karachi consumers and 86 paise perunit across the country.
The report said the applications for increasing the electricity chargeswere filed in NEPRA for February monthly fuel adjustment. NEPRA will take adecision after the scheduled hearing on Thursday, March 30.
