During a workers' convention on the Indus Highway in Karak, the police launched an attack.
Stones were thrown at the police by workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). In response, the police used tear gas shelling to disperse PTI workers. The police also arrested several PTI workers.
Explaining the reasons for the attack on the workers' convention, the police stated that the district administration had imposed Section 144 in the city, which prohibits any government rally or protest. The police said that challenging the government's order is not allowed.
