With the decline in the value of the dollar, the possibility of a reduction in petrol prices is also being indicated. From October 1st, the price of high-speed diesel and petrol could decrease by 5 to 19 rupees per liter. This would mark the first reduction in petroleum prices during the current government's tenure.
Since Prime Minister Anwar al-Haq Kakar took office, petrol prices have increased by 58 rupees and 43 paise, while high-speed diesel prices have risen by 55 rupees and 83 paise. To save on petrol costs, people have reportedly installed dangerous LPG kits in motorcycles.
It is said that due to the decrease in oil prices in the global market and a drop in the dollar exchange rate, petrol prices could decrease by 15 to 19 rupees per liter.
The last reduction in petrol and diesel prices occurred in mid-July when petrol was reduced by 9 rupees per liter to 253 rupees, and diesel was reduced by 7 rupees to 253 rupees and 50 paise.
