LAHORE: (APP) Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has served a legal notice on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for defaming him through false allegations of corruption.
The legal notice was served by Advocate Supreme Court Mustafa Ramday on behalf of Shehbaz Sharif. The notice asks Imran Khan to withdraw allegations and apologise to Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif within 14 days; otherwise, the court of law could be moved against him.
The notice stated that the allegations levelled against Shehbaz Sharif were false, unfounded, malicious and motivated with the intent to malign and harm his reputation.
It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan had levelled serious allegations against Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif of receiving kickbacks in development projects through a frontman, while talking to the media on October 26.
