Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has urged India to reciprocate to the goodwill gesture of Pakistan to open Kartarpur border crossing.

Talking to a private news channel, he said fighting war or having disputes with each other is not the solution to any problem.

He said the Indian government should also come forward and sit together with Pakistan on negotiation table.

He said leaders of different religions have acknowledged and appreciated the decisions taken by Pakistani government to facilitate the followers of all faiths.

Chaudhry Sarwar said people belonging to any of the religions are enjoying full freedom in Pakistan to perform their religious obligations.

Replying to a question, the Governor Punjab expressed serious concerns over the atrocities and gross human rights violations of Indian forces against innocent Kashmiris. He demanded solution to the issue in accordance with the wishes of Kashmiri people under the United Nations resolutions.
