*LAHORE: Corps Commander Lahore Lieutenant General Majid Ehsan on Thursday conferred twenty-three officers of the Pakistan Army with Sitara-i-Imtiaz and 48 officers with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz during an ceremony in Lahore, said Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).*
The ceremony was held at the Corps Headquarters Lahore to confer military awards to army personnel for acts of bravery during operations, outstanding performances in their respective fields and for their long estimable services.
A large number of military officials and relatives of Shuhada/Ghazis attended the ceremony. Twenty three officers were awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), 48 officers were awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (military) and 15 officers and soldiers were awarded Tamgha-e-Bisalat, the army’s military wing said.
Earlier on Tuesday, Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Humayun Aziz had conferred military awards and medals to Army personnel during a ceremony at Malir Garrison.
In recognition of their acts of gallantry and velour during different operations and outstanding performance, Lieutenant General Humayun Aziz awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (military) and Tamgha-e-Basalat to different officers and soldiers.
Awards conferred on martyrs were received by their family members at the ceremony. A large number of senior military officers and relatives of the awardees attended the ceremony.
