MULTAN: Scores of workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf staged sit-in outside the residence of PTI Vice Chairman Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi against unfair distribution of tickets for general election 2018.
The demonstrators were led by district president PTI Ejaz Hussain Janjoa, Aslam Saeed Ansari and Nasir Mahay. They stated that the real party workers were denied of party tickets. They said the party workers were demanding tickets on merit basis. However, they also feared that PTI could suffer due to unfair distribution of tickets.
They added that the distribution of tickets had created disappointment among workers and demanded the party leadership to award tickets to the workers who fulfilled criteria of merit.
Meanwhile, Vice Chairman Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi while addressing a corner meeting in Qadirpur Rawan stated the PTI had evolved a criteria for ending unemployment in the country.
He stated the PTI would fulfill its pledges made with the public. He urged masses to give opportunity to PTI as the party would perform according to expectation of the masses. APP/AFP
