Pakistani athlete declared best international referee in Taikomando

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Najia Rasool of Pakistan the first-ever international athlete of Pakistan has been declared the best referee in Khyrougi category of Taekwondo.

A nine-member Pakistani contingent attended seminars and courses in the Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia, China.

Nine Pakistani referees attended the 87th International Khyrougi Referee Seminar, 101st International Khyrougi Referee Refresher Course and 27th International Poomsae Referee Seminar.

The nine-member contingent included Murtaza Hassan Bangash, Kamran Qamar Kureshi, Nadeem Ahmed, Nisar Ahmed, Malik Muhammad Shahzad, Muhammad Khurram Rasheed, Muhammad Asad Yousuf Zai, Mr Tallah Junaid and Najia Rasool.

Amongst 500 International Referees Murtaza Hassan Bangash was declared the best referee in Poomsae category and Najia Rasool was declared as the best referee in Khyrougi category.

These referees will now conduct the National Referee Seminar which will be held from July 20 to 24 here at Pakistan Sports Board.

The management of Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF) praised Dr Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera, Director General Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) and Lt Gen (R) Syed Arif Hassan, President Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) for their support and guidance.
