PSL 5 likely start date revealed by PCB
LAHORE - The fifth edition of the Habib Bank Limited Pakistan Super League (HBL PSL) is likely to take place in Pakistan from February 20 to March 22, 2020. The final of the fifth season is expected to be held in Lahore. According to sources, the draft of next year’s HBL PSL is currently being planned for the second or third week of November, 2019.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already informed all franchises that the entire season five of HBL PSL will take place in Pakistan. Foreign players are also being informed that only those cricketers will be included in the draft, who agrees to play in Pakistan. According to details, Lahore is expected to host 11 matches while Karachi will host nine. Rawalpindi and Multan are also likely to get eight and four matches, respectively. National Stadium in Karachi is likely to host the matches of Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi in the initial stages.
On the other hand, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans and Islamabad United are expected to play their matches at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Peshawar and Azad Kashmir are also in consideration to host a match each. The board officials are soon expected to visit both venues and submit its report to the HBL PSL administration.
