NEW DEHLI: (APP) Prominent Indian writer Arundhati Roy says Kashmiris have once again made it clear that they want freedom from Indian.
In a cover story of Indian magazine 'Outlook', she denounced the gunning down of unarmed protestors by security forces, attacks on ambulances and hospitals by policemen and blinding of teenagers with pellet guns.
She said these human rights violations are inevitable and unavoidable consequence of militaristic suppression of a people's struggle for freedom.
Arundhati Roy said as Kashmiris are fighting for Azaadi, they are prepared to face down bullets with stones and they are prepared to die for their just cause.
She urged the Indian Government to initiate the process of dialogue on Kashmiris' demand for Azaadi.
