North Korea conducted its second cruise missile launch within a week off the east coast on Sunday, as reported by South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS). The missiles were fired around 8 a.m. (2300 GMT on Saturday). The JCS did not specify the number of missiles launched or their range, but mentioned that South Korean and US intelligence authorities were analyzing the situation.

In response to the launches, the JCS issued a statement, emphasizing the reinforcement of surveillance and vigilance. The South Korean military is actively collaborating with the United States to closely monitor additional signs and activities from North Korea.

These missile launches occurred shortly after North Korea claimed to have fired a new strategic cruise missile, named "Pulhwasal-3-31," implying potential nuclear capability. Despite the heightened tension and increased confrontations with the United States and its allies, officials in Washington and Seoul assert that there are no apparent indications suggesting North Korea's immediate intent for military action.
