ISLAMABAD - An elite group of climbers saved a French mountaineer in a daring night-time rescue on Nanga Parbat with the support of Pakistan Army but called off the search for a second missing Polish climber.
Talking to our Gilgit correspondent on Sunday, Commissioner Baltistan Divisional Hamza Salik said that two Pak Army helicopters and an elite group of climbers including four polish mountaineers took part in the rescue operation.
He said the lady mountaineer will soon be shifted to Islamabad.
The search operation has been called off for the second missing Polish climber due to bad weather.
