People of China are celebrating Lunar New Year today.
Thousands of people gathered at major temples and fairs to wish for an auspicious start of the Year of the Rooster.
They lit incense sticks and bowed as they prayed for good fortune and health.
Ethnic Chinese and others around the world also marked the holiday with celebrations.
