ISLAMABAD - Quetta Gladiators skipper Sarfraz Ahmed makes history in Pakistan Super League.

Quetta Gladiators’ skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed has become the most successful captain in Habib Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Super League (PSL) history with a win percentage of 63.04 — bearing in mind a minimum of five matches.

Sarfaraz has captained Quetta in 47 matches, winning 29 and losing on 17 occasions, during his time with the franchise since the very first edition of HBL PSL in 2016.

Former Pakistan captains Shahid Afridi (60%) and Misbahul Haq (57.69%) are placed on second and third positions in the same list.

Defending champions Gladiators produced a stunning run-chase to defeat Islamabad United by five wickets in the first-ever HBL PSL match at the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
